English 2010

This course has focused on writing in genres.  To keep focus, we were placed in groups and chose a group topic for the semester.  The topic needed to be something current in our community.  My group chose Children with Disabilities. 

Our first writing assignment was a report.  I chose to write in the empirical genre.  This was a good choice for me because I have a son with disabilities and I have been able to observe several programs for children with disabilities.  

Our next assignment was to write a Position paper.  I chose to write on Toddler Group Therapy; my position was to keep the program.  At the end of the paper, we were instructed to add a Proposal to the issue.
